The issue of the impact of climate change and human activities on our Earth's ecosystems is today a major preoccupation. What is rarely mentioned, however, is that this also affects our oceans and the marine life.

Many European scientists are trying to better understand how these ecosystems work and react to the current changes to be able to predict what might happen in the next century.

The EUR-OCEANS Network of Excellence (2005-2008) has set up a complete education program for European schools allowing the teachers and pupils to have access to high quality scientific information.

Willing to go further in the communication between both scientific and schools communities concerned by climate change and oceans ecosystems, EUR-OCEANS has organised an ambitious European schools film contest.
